As Liberia stands at a critical juncture in its history, it is essential to assess the suitability of candidates vying for the presidency.
In this narrative, we explore the concerns raised regarding Amb. Joseph N. Boakai, the Standard Bearer of the Unity Party.
We delve into the reasons why his leadership isn’t the best choice for Liberia’s future, highlighting the need for a vibrant and energetic leader who can effectively address the challenges faced by our nation.
- Lack of Preparedness and Reluctance:
A recent video has captured the attention of concerned citizens, revealing Amb. Joseph N. Boakai’s alarming lack of preparedness and reluctance to address the media.
As the party’s media coordinator, Robert Kpadeh, seemingly distracts the elderly statesman, it becomes apparent that Boakai’s ability to effectively communicate and lead is questionable.
This raises concerns about his capability to navigate the complex issues that Liberia faces in today’s dynamic world.
- Exploitation for Selfish Agenda:
It is disheartening to contemplate the possibility that individuals within Boakai’s inner circle may be exploiting his health condition for their personal gain.
The assertion that Mo Ali, Martin Kollie, Augustine Konneh, Abdulia Vandi, Roland Giddings, Jeremiah K. Koung, Prince Johnson and others are using Boakai as a mere figurehead for their selfish agenda is deeply troubling.
Liberia deserves a leader who is capable of making independent decisions and leading with strength and conviction, unswayed by ulterior motives.
- Physical and Logistical Limitations:
The physical and logistical challenges faced by Amb. Joseph N. Boakai further underscore the concerns about his ability to govern effectively.
His reported illness and apparent reliance on external support raise doubts about his capacity to undertake the demanding responsibilities of the Liberian presidency.
The fact that he prefers to use alternative routes, such as travelling through Sierra Leone instead of touring the southeastern region with its substantial voting population, indicates a lack of energy and commitment to connecting with all Liberians.
- A Complete Disaster for Liberia:
Considering the challenges our nation currently faces, Liberia cannot afford a leader who lacks the vigor and determination necessary to tackle these issues head-on.
Amb. Joseph N. Boakai’s inability to inspire confidence and provide a clear vision for Liberia’s future renders him unfit for the presidency.
We need a leader who can propel our nation forward, empower the people, and address the pressing issues of corruption, economic growth, and social development.
While acknowledging Amb. Joseph N. Boakai’s years of service to Liberia, it is imperative to critically assess his suitability for the presidency.
His unpreparedness, exploitation by others, physical limitations, and overall lack of energy present a concerning picture for the future of our nation.
Liberia deserves a leader who can inspire, unite, and effectively address the challenges we face.
Let us look beyond Boakai and seek a candidate who can lead Liberia towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
