VOA Journalist Eyes FEJAL Leadership

Accomplished female journalist Dennise Nimpson has declared her intension to head the Female Journalist Associate of Liberia.

Dennise who reports for the Voice of America will be contesting for the organization’s presidency during its scheduled December 15 elections.

Bring fresh ideas to make the female journalists group efficient while seeking opportunities for women  in journalism are top issues that would be pursued, she told reporters Monday in Monrovia.

“We pledge to work tirelessly to strengthen our Association, to provide opportunities for professional development, and to create a supportive environment where all our members can thrive to better enhance themselves for the future.

“this pronouncement is just not another form of participation for the name it brings, but we are committed to what we say to ensuring that FEJAL remains supreme. “

Promoting Ethics

Ms. Nimpson said her vision for the presidency is to strengthen the values of journalism which focuses on truth telling, equity and fairness.

“We believe that our role as female journalists goes beyond mere reporting. It is about time we collectively work for a positive change in our association.”

“It will take the collective effort of all of us to achieve our goals. I call upon every member to join hands in this journey towards a brighter future for the Female Journalists Association of Liberia.

“Let us stand together, united by our commitment to journalism and our passion for the truth.

“I promise to listen to your concerns, to lead by example with integrity, and to be a president who stands by your side every step of the way.”
