The Ministry of Commerce and the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) Thursday prices of gasoline (PMS) have decreased by ten United States cents (US$0.10) while the price of fuel oil (AGO) has reduced by twenty United States Cents (US$0.20) respectively.
Wholesale prices for gasoline and diesel are US$4.00 and US$4.53 respectively while the retail pump prices for gasoline and diesel are US$4.28 or its Liberian dollar equivalent of LRD830.00 and US$4.81 or its Liberian dollars equivalent of LRD$930.00 respectively, the entities said in a statement.
The current price of gasoline reflects a Ten United States Cents (US$0.10) reduction while the price of diesel fuel experienced Twenty United States Cents (US$0.20) reduction.
The MoCI and LPRC inspectorate team will closely monitor the approved ceiling prices to avoid arbitrary hike in the pump prices of gasoline and diesel on the local market.
