Liberia has reaffirmed its resolute support for the Kingdom of Morocco, declaring its unwavering commitment to Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, including the Sahara region.
The declaration was made by Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, after high level talks in Rabat with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. Nyanti emphasized that Liberia’s position is steadfast and will be carried into the United Nations, where Liberia currently serves as a non-permanent member of the Security Council. She pledged Monrovia’s active support for Morocco during upcoming Security Council deliberations in October 2026.
Underscoring the depth of bilateral ties, Nyanti highlighted the “very close relations” between the two nations, strengthened under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Joseph Boakai. She stressed that both countries are committed to advancing this momentum, expanding cooperation across diplomatic, cultural, and economic spheres.
