Unity Party Standard Bearer Ambassador Joseph Nyuma has announced that the Unity Party will lock down Monrovia on September17 in a show of political strength and power.
The Former Vice President was speaking Sunday in Electoral District number 15 of Montserrado County during a political rally at which time he stressed the need to redefine the nation.
He proclaimed that the launch of the Unity Party campaign will take place on the 17th of September to send a signal to Liberians and to the world that it is time to embrace a new Country and a new beginning.
He pointed out that the Youth of Liberia will generate a new confidence and hope because the CDC Government in which they put their trust in 2017 has massively let them down and dashed their hopes and aspirations but will find solace in the Unity Party in 2024 when the CDC establishment exits the political scene.
The Former Vice President spoke of soaring commodity prices especially the staple food rice and warned that Liberians can no longer depend on imported rice, and added that a nation that cannot feeds its people is doomed.
He stressed that Liberia must grow its own food to feed its population hence the AREST manifesto which focuses on key areas of agriculture, Roads, Education Sanitation and Tourism to jumpstart the economy.
The Unity Party Flagbearer went on to say that under his administration Ghettos will be cleaned and noted further that the Nation will not be donor dependent for survival.
On concession agreements, JNB said under his watch as President no cabinet Minister will supervise contracts but instead all contracts will be reviewed by competent professionals to establish their usefulness and legitimacy that will be in the best interest of the nation and people.
He called on the CDC -led Government to give a comprehensive report to the Liberian people on what they did during the six years of their administration.
