Re-run of the presidential, senatorial, and representative elections are expected to take place today Oct. 20 at two polling places in precinct BeoLontuo in Electoral District 4, Nimba County, the National Elections Commission said.
NEC reported that following the close of polls on 10 October 2023 at precinct BeoLontuo, some individuals made away with some of the ballot boxes and later destroyed the contents, precipitating the need for a re-run.
“The Commission hereby notifies and urges all stakeholders including political
parties/coalitions/alliances, candidates, party/candidates’ agents, observers, and the
voters of the two polling places in precinct BeoLontuo to take due note and play their respective roles in the re-run elections on 20
October 2023 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.”
