Boakai Will Never Be President – Bility

Must read

The chairman of the opposition Collaborating Political Parties Musa Hassan Bility Vows Unity Party’s Standard Bearer Joseph Boakai stands no chance of winning the November 14 presidential runoff election.

CPP is backing President George Weah and the Coalition for Democratic Change with vigor to ensure that the Unity Party and Boakai are denied the presidency, Bility said Friday at an endorsement ceremony in Monrovia.

“Joseph Boakai is far from becoming president. We will fight with everything available to us through the legal means to deny him.”

The former Liberia Football Association president is amongst several influential politicians who once allied Boakai but now bitter enemy after a devastating fallout.

In the aftermath of the 2017 defeat, the former vice president and heads of leading opposition political parties worked on a political alliance to challenged Weah in the 2023 elections.

The alliance collapsed one year before the elections with Boakai pulling out of the deal. All the parties went solo in an acrimonious way.
