Must read

Main opposition Coalition for Democratic Change is expected to examine the governance of the ruling Unity Party today in Monrovia.

The Party Secretariat has ordered the assemblage of its leadership as it outlines what it considers pitfall of the ruling establishment, after two months in office.

CDC founding father and former President George Weah will be present at the press event, Secretary General Jefferson Koijee said in a statement.

“By directive of the Acting National Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Janga Augustus Kowo with the approval of the Standard Bearer, His Excellency Dr. George M. Weah,  all members of the National Executive Committee, constituent members of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) as well as members of the National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary National Youth League and Women’s League, Montserrado Chapter and Executive Committee, All Zonal Heads of Montserrado, CDC and the National Auxiliary Network and nearby County Chairpersons and Executives are invited to a major press briefing to unpack the nearly two months excesses of Mr. Boakai and the moribund and decadent Unity Party regime slated for Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 4PM prompt at the CDC National Headquarters in Congo Town.”

Unity Party ousted Weah and the CDC after winning the 2023 presidential elections. Back in opposition, the CDC is reviving its bases to stage a comeback to state power.
