I had always thought that it is not possible to be in heaven and commit sin or think about committing sin.
After all, heaven is a pure place, and those who go there are pure in spirit, mind and soul and will not think about committing sin while there.
But something is making me think otherwise now. I believe it is possible to be in heaven and still commit sin or think about committing sin.
Why do I say so? Well, we read and hear that Lucifer, who is now known as Satan, was in heaven when he and some angels started planning how to overthrow God. They did it because they were jealous or envious of God, and jealousy and envy are sinful behavior.
They were right there in heaven when they started sinning against God or thinking about sinning against God. In short, being in heaven did not prevent them from thinking about overthrowing God, which is sinful because it was a rebellious act against God.
Of course, God got vexed and threw them down from heaven, but the point to remember is that it is possible to be in heaven and commit sin or think about committing sin.
You could be in heaven and think about approaching a girl or a boy. You could be in heaven and be jealous or envious. You could be in heaven and start fighting for importance, power or influence. You could be in heaven and think about fighting someone who did bad things to you on earth. You could be in heaven and practice favoritism.
If you think my thinking is wrong, tell me where Lucifer was when he became envious of God and decided to overthrow Him. I am waiting!
