Jeety Rubber LLC, one of the country’s largest purchasers of natural rubber has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification by global regulator SGS United Kingdom Ltd.
This recognition underscores the company’s adherence to international best practices and its commitment to quality management systems, according to industrial regulator.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a highly respected benchmark that assesses an organization’s operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement through rigorous inspections and audits.
Jeety Rubber’s certification is valid for a three year period runing from January 10, 2025, to January 10, 2028, contingent upon satisfactory compliance with ongoing surveillance audits.
The certification affirms that Jeety Rubber meets all requisite standards for the purchase, manufacturing, and shipping of natural and technically specified rubber, a significant development for Liberia’s burgeoning rubber industry and its domestic economy.
“The ISO certification reflects our vision of making Liberia a global hub for rubber production,” said Upjit Singh Sachdeva, founder of Jeety Rubber. The achievement comes two years after the company began operations at its US$40 million factory in Weala, Margibi County, and is part of a broader strategy to expand into the manufacturing of rubber goods for both local and African markets.
Sachdeva emphasized that the milestone is not merely about producing high-quality rubber products but also about bringing value-added manufacturing to Liberia.
“This certification strengthens our foundation as we seek to expand operations and contribute to the industrial growth of Liberia. It’s more than just a title; it’s a promise to our customers, partners, and stakeholders that we are committed to delivering the highest standards of quality.”
The implications of the ISO certification extend beyond Jeety Rubber itself. Experts believe it positions the company as a reliable partner in the global rubber market and sets a high standard for the entire industry in Liberia. “ISO certification is a commitment to delivering quality and reliability for our partners and customers,” experts noted, highlighting the potential boost in investment and credibility within the sector.
With plans to expand into manufacturing rubber goods, including gloves and tires, Jeety Rubber aims to further enhance its role in Liberia’s economic development. The company’s commitment to international quality standards is expected to encourage other local enterprises to pursue similar certifications, fostering a culture of excellence and competitiveness in the nation’s rubber sector.
