The Unity Party led administration is making the same fatal mistake just as the Democratic Party made against Donald Trump. Democrats underestimated the power of the American people. They took four years to manufacture lies and weaponized the liberal media especially CNN, and Voice Of America (VOA) against Trump.
All the smear campaigns failed. Donald Trump’s stunning return to the White House in 2024 after years of relentless persecution has set the stage for George Weah’s inescapable comeback to power in 2029.
These matching political reawakening reveal a fundamental truth: when leaders are truly chosen and loved by the masses, no amount of legal harassment, nasty propaganda, or betrayal can keep them down for long.
Trump’s journey back to power reads like a political thriller. They indicted him four times. They raided his home. They tried to bar him from ballots. The entire Washington establishment, including former allies like Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and John Bolton turned against him.
The media painted him as a criminal for years. Yet on Election Day 2024, the American people delivered their verdict: none of it mattered. The more they persecuted Trump, the stronger he became. His supporters saw through the optical shenanigans, they recognized these attacks for what they were: not justice, but political warfare against their own hero.
Now watch as the same script unfolds in the motherland. Since leaving office, Weah has endured humiliations that would break lesser men. He was denied VIP treatment at the airport he built, stripped him of security details, and subjected him to constant smears by the Boakai regime’s propagandists Jerolinmek Matthew Piah , Daniel O. Sando Henry P. Costa , Eugene L. Fahngon , social media enthusiasts New Zoe Prophetkey , Martin K. N. Kollie and many others.
Moreover, his former allies like Hon Saah H. Joseph , Thomas P. Fallah, Kanio Bai Gbala, Weah lifted from nothing, now shamelessly making unfounded claims to enjoys favor from the Unity Party led administration. But just like with Trump, every petty act of nasty propaganda only strengthens Weah’s bond with the masses of our people.
The parallels are uncanny. Both leaders delivered tangible results that their opponents can’t erase. Trump’s economic boom created jobs and prosperity the working class still remembers.
Weah’s infrastructure revolution, the construction of asphalt pavement roads across the country, No WASSCE fees, digitalization of University of Liberia registration enrollment, tuition free all government run community colleges, Pro Poor homes in Bong, Grand Kru, Grand Gedeh, construction of markets in Duala, Omega, Du-port Road, Old Road, West Point, Building of recreational Parks, building of 14th Military hospital, emirates Hospital, River Cess Hospital, New Redemption Hospital (50%) Zwedru Hospital (65%) and construction of the VIP Lounge at RIA, NPA corporate headquarters , LPRC corporate headquarters, , NAAFA headquarters (Fish  House), NSA intelligence headquarters and amongst many he built, remain standing long after his departure.
Both faced orchestrated smear campaigns that ultimately collapsed under their own weight. Trump’s “Russian collusion” hoax evaporated. The manufactured scandals against Weah are meeting the same fate as Liberians see through these lies.
Most importantly, both men understand something their elitist opponents never will: real political power doesn’t come from boardrooms or bureaucracies – it comes from the streets, ghettos, dejected communities.
Trump’s MAGA movement grew stronger with every indictment. Weah’s grassroots base is becoming more passionate with every petty act of nasty propaganda. The elites thought courtrooms and propaganda could defeat populism. The masses are proving them wrong.
Trump’s triumphant return to the White House has sent shockwaves through every corrupt political establishment worldwide. In Liberia, the message is increasingly clearer: Weah is coming back!
Meanwhile, the same forces that brought Trump back, the unshakable loyalty of ordinary people, the inevitable collapse of manufactured scandals, the growing disillusionment with failed replacements, are already aligning for Weah’s come back.
To Liberia’s political class: take note of Trump’s victory. Your witch hunt against Weah will meet the same fate as the failed attempts to destroy Trump. The people see through your games. They remember Weah as a man of peace, his development, his accessibility. And when the time comes, they will deliver their verdict at the ballot box, just as Americans did for Trump.
History’s arc is bending toward justice. Trump has reclaimed his throne. Weah’s return is only a matter of time. The people always have the final word on political judgement day.
The masses know their leader some of us prefer to struggle with President Weah because our hope lies in him. I will never prostrate for job or unmerited opportunity to these “Colorful Socks” cabal. We shall meet at the barricade, and we’re prepared for the intellectual warfare.
