Liberia’s Entertainment Ambassador, Korte Kobazzie, has taken a significant step toward advancing the country’s creative diplomacy with a high-level visit to the Embassy of the Morocco in Monrovia.
During the courtesy call, Ambassador Kobazzie held productive discussions with Morocco’s Ambassador and embassy officials, focusing on strengthening the already cordial relationship between Liberia and Morocco. The talks centered on expanding cooperation in key sectors such as culture, the creative industries, and the blue economy.
A major highlight of the meeting was Kobazzie’s proposal to collaborate with Royal Air Maroc. The initiative seeks to feature Liberian creative content—including music, films, and digital productions—on the airline’s in-flight entertainment platform. If realized, the partnership could significantly boost global visibility for Liberian artists and creators while promoting cultural exchange and economic growth.
The discussions also emphasized the importance of increasing Liberia’s participation in South-to-South cultural exchange programs. Both sides expressed strong interest in fostering deeper collaboration through joint initiatives and sustained bilateral engagement.
As part of future plans, the two parties agreed to establish a joint working team to coordinate activities for Africa Day. The celebration is expected to highlight Pan-African unity while promoting peace, cultural appreciation, and mutual understanding across the continent.
The diplomatic engagement underscores Liberia’s growing commitment to leveraging its creative sector as a tool for international partnership and economic development, positioning the country as an emerging force in cultural diplomacy.
