Armed troops will be deployed to backup other security forces to ensure that the October 10 polls, Liberia’s national Security Council said Monday following fatal elections related clashes in northern Lofa County.
The Carter Center has deployed an international electoral expert team to Monrovia to assess key political, electoral, and legal aspects of Liberia’s Oct. 10 general elections.
