The House of Representatives Speaker Dr. Bhofal Chambers, has called  on partisans of the outgoing ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDCians) among other Liberians to emulate the exemplary leadership of Liberian President, George Weah, in maintaining the country’s peace following the just ended 2023 Presidential elections.

Speaker Chambers showered President George Weah with words of commendation for conceding defeat to the Unity Party under a peaceful atmosphere.

According to him, President Weah’s peacekeeping role has not only branded him globally as a man of peace but raised the bar for other leaders to emulate.

Speaking Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Coalition for Democratic Change Headquarters in Congo Town, Chambers said he is of the conviction that CDCians and other Liberians, will emulate the Liberian Leader and refrain from acts that undermine the Country’s peace process.

The Speaker added that it is imperative to call the attention of all citizens, especially the youth to guard jealously the peace, and national cohesion the country enjoys.

He also stated that the young people are the hope of Liberia’s future.

The Speaker who is also Representative of Pleebo Sodoken District in Maryland County, warned that Liberian youth should not allow self-seeking politicians to misdirect their energies into destructive activities which will not promote a better tomorrow for them.

The Pleebo Lawmaker said Liberia, is looking up to enterprising youth to be creative and use innovative ideas for national advancement.
