Liberia: U.S. Embassy Transitions to New Visa Services Provider

Must read

The U.S. Embassy in Monrovia has announced a transition to a new visa services provider, which will result in temporary changes to the visa application process.

According to the embassy’s statement, there will be a temporary suspension of all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa appointment services from August 16, 2024, until the new website is made available to the public.

The current website, ustraveldocs.com, and its associated customer service will no longer be accessible after August 16. The embassy has assured applicants that the previously scheduled visa appointments for dates after August 16 will remain valid.

“To better serve our applicants, the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia is transitioning to a new visa services provider,” the statement reads.

Applicants are advised to regularly check the U.S. Embassy website, lr.usembassy.gov/visas, for updates and detailed information about the new appointment scheduling website once it becomes available.

The transition to the new visa services provider is expected to enhance the visa application process and improve the overall experience for applicants seeking to travel to the United States.

The U.S. Embassy in Monrovia has encouraged all affected applicants to closely monitor the embassy’s website for the latest updates and to plan accordingly during this transitional period.
