Liberia’s Sports Ambassador Alioune Kebe emphasizes the importance of mentorship, unity, and encouragement in nurturing the country’s young talents.

He said the  path to achieving dreams for young people across the country is within reach, especially when supported by strong community and leadership initiatives.

The Sports Ambassador made the Statement in Monrovia when he donated a range of sports materials to the Liberia National Police (LNP) ahead of the much-anticipated tournament finals.

The donation, which includes a giant-sized trophy, jersey sets, footballs, and medals, aims to not only support the ongoing LNP tournament at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex but also to encourage the youth population.

Ambassador Kebe highlighted his lifelong commitment to empowering young people.

“I have spent my entire life making brilliant, young, and talented individuals’ dreams become a reality,” he stated, highlighting the transformative power of sports. He reflected on how athletics can unite communities, uplift families from hardship, and foster national development.

“This donation is a token of appreciation for the sacrifices made by the LNP in making Liberia a safer place,” Kebe said.

“More importantly, it serves as a reminder that, through sports, we can unite our nation and create opportunities for our youth.”

His words signal a commitment to using sports as a platform for positive change.

Ambassador Kebe expressed optimism for the future of sports in Liberia, particularly under the leadership of President Joseph Boakai, who is dedicated to fields of sports development.

“I am hopeful that sports will be taken to greater heights, with all of our national teams fully participating and competing for trophies on the global stage,” he said,  outlining his vision, which include but not limited to  advocating for sports development.

Officials from the police force welcomed Kebe’s generous donation, promising to ensure that the materials are utilized effectively for their intended purpose. With the final of the tournament scheduled for December, the LNP is poised to not only showcase their athletic prowess but also to inspire the next generation of Liberians to dream big and achieve their aspirations through sports.
