Liberia: Unvarnished Truth-Telling: A Rejoinder to Ngafuan’s Puppets

Must read

Honestly, Ngafuan, driven by desperation for accolades, made an absolute fool of himself by exalting a bunch of remotely-controlled government-paid callers who named him as Minister of the Year. As such, no level of malnourished argument in his defence can erase his foolery.

If Ngafuan were as astute as proclaimed, he would not have dared to encourage – or prompt — the three Unity Party brigade members to declare him as “Minister of the Year.”  Such childish pranks are only recognized and acceptable by the likes of Ngafuan himself.

It’s ludicrous that Ngafuan, the cheerleader of the tribal government of Boakai, likes to think of himself as a professional. But how serious is the professionalism of this fellow when he worships in the church of self-interest? He presides over a budget that lacks the minimum standards of transparency yet is unperturbed.

Where is Ngafuan, and what has he said as the country teeters on the brink of an inevitable slide towards an elected dictatorship with peaceful protesters dragged by the hair through our streets – some with fractured skulls as a result of police brutality?

Again, what has Ngafuan said about President Boakai riding roughshod over our laws? At least, John Morlu, II, a true professional from Lofa, has screamed, basically eschewing the flourishing tribalism in the country; but silence prevails in Ngafuan’s camp. He still worships in the church of self-interest while displaying tribalistic proclivities.

Though a former student leader, Ngafuan takes delight in emptying our national coffer for his uncle JNB’s jet-setting pleasure trips to Ghana and elsewhere. Nothing could be more mind-numbingly ridiculous than this level of national wastage!

Interestingly, Liberians may recall, in the beginning, that JNB promised never to appoint any of his relatives to senior positions in his administration. As we have seen, however, actions speak much louder than words!

Imagine a former student leader exalting meaningless awards, while the UNIVERSITY of Liberia remains closed and part-timers are yet to be paid their just salaries! Should anyone regard Ngafuan as a serious and trustworthy government official?

I know as Minister of Finance, Ngafuan is too pompous to look the truth in the eye and concede. However, we, the courageous people, will not stop telling him the honest truth. The truth is only a paltry schemer, a nincompoop with low self-esteem, will exalt an award from a bunch of remotely-controlled government’s sponsored callers.

Having made myself clear regarding this matter, I would avoid Ngafuan’s trap of brandishing clowns’ awards when our country is in a dreadful state. Hence, I will now zoom in on pressing national issues.

The country is embarrassingly grappling with the inelegance of two competing HOR Speakers; the President promoting corruption as well as flying private planes while the vast majority of Liberians live in stinking poverty; the closure of our prestigious University of Liberia; the government accepting bribes in the form of a bloodstained pick-up truck from the military junta in Guinea, in exchange for unhindered access to Liberia, etc.

These are worthwhile issues that will claim my attention in the coming days, not the tactical diversionary joke that Ngafuan has set up for himself.

For some of the brothers who think that telling the unvarnished truth in calling out a brother is envious, I say to you, grow up because you are in a place of mindless sycophancy.

I’m sure Ngafuan got my message; if he doesn’t oblige, I will not spare the whiplashes for his bare buttocks next time he does something so classless.

I don’t mind Ngafaun doubling down in the cesspool of corruption by hiring more dim-witted puppets to conjure up a rebuttal except that he will be using state resources to pay his hired guns. I couldn’t help but laugh at one of his hired guns – a junior brother who normally plagiarizes my fine phraseologies unmolested.

Let’s celebrate authenticity, not clowns who exert bogus awards from evidence-free callers as we step foot into the New Year. Happy New Year, my Liberian people!
