Liberia: Letters to President Donald Trump, President, United States of America and Captain Ibrahim Traore, President, Republic of Burkina Faso

Must read

Dear President Trump,

I am an African inspired by your quest to make America great again. I believe in your ideology of creating wealth for every American and making the United States of America more self-reliant. Although I do not have the right to vote in America, I consciously prayed for your success and leadership as I always do.

You have never agreed with naysayers, as evidenced by your critique of former U.S. President George W. Bush’s actions in Iraq. They convinced the world that Saddam Hussein possessed nuclear weapons, using lies to justify his removal, which led to the destruction of Iraq. You were among the few who disagreed with these falsehoods against Saddam Hussein.

Similarly, Barack Obama also lied about Muammar Gaddafi, leading to Gaddafi’s death and the destruction of Libya. You opposed these lies and the chaos that followed in Libya. As someone who does not accept deception, I ask: would you accept the lies of Emmanuel Macron in the same way Obama accepted Sarkozy’s lies?

Ibrahim Traoré is not a thief. He is an honest and trustworthy statesman—an honorable soldier and leader focused on the upliftment, dignity, and prosperity of his people through self-reliance. Like you, he always puts his country first. If he is accused of criminality, it is because he refuses to relinquish his country’s wealth to imperialist interests.

He is currently one of the few best leaders Africa has. If you get to know him, you will not only admire but also honor and befriend him. He is not driven by wealth but by worthy leadership. I urge you not to oppose him. I am confident you won’t, and I strongly advise against it.

Burkina Faso is Africa, and Africa is Burkina Faso. Fighting him would be akin to fighting the entire continent—something we will not accept, especially when it concerns one of the few righteous leaders of our continent.

Respectfully,

Comrade Sheikh Al-Moustapha Kouyateh

Your Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traore,

President of Burkina Faso

I hope this letter finds you well. I am confident that you are guided by the Almighty in your mission to emancipate the people of Burkina Faso and Africa at large.

We are aware of the fabricated lies propagated by imperialist forces and agents of neo-colonialism regarding your leadership. We recognize you as an honest man who has prioritized the total freedom, economic growth, and social development of your people over personal ambition. The accusations against you mirror those faced by Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Samora Machel, Col. Muammar Gaddafi, and others. We understand the plans against you and stand firmly in your support.

These forces label you as corrupt simply because you refuse to relinquish the wealth of your nation. They seek to undermine you because you are committed to defending and uplifting your people. Every African and every African state yearns for your kind of leadership, and we believe in your sincere and patriotic vision for Burkina Faso.

We will continue to stand with you as long as you remain dedicated to your people and your nation. They are inventing enemies among us—some they label as jihadists, others as M23, and many more, all of whom are sponsored by them. This strategy is intended to keep us divided, impoverished, and at war with ourselves, allowing them to exploit our resources while pretending to be peacekeepers, using NGOs for money laundering, and negotiating to mortgage our resources. Such agreements will keep us impoverished and backward while enriching a few at the expense of the majority.

You are a true example of selfless leadership in Africa. I urge you not to negotiate anything that undermines the progress and dignity of your people. Keep your focus on your goals to make Burkina Faso, “the land of honest people,” great again. Your leadership can inspire Africa to reclaim its sovereignty and dignity.

We are aware of your visionary plans to make your country proud and dignified. We stand with you until Africa rises.

With unwavering support.

Comrade Sheikh Al-Moustapha Kouyateh

Servant In-Charge,
