President Joseph Boakai has dismissed Minister of Mines and Energy Wilmot Paye who has served in the role for less than two years.
The presidency did not say why Paye was removed from office.
Matenokay Tingban the former lawmaker who worked with the George Weah administration as deputy internal affairs minister has been appointed to ocupy the position.
The President also accepted the resignation of the Deputy Minister for Planning & Research at the Ministry of Education and the Chairman of the Board of the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), while directing the retirement of LAA Managing Director Hon. Jeremiah Mends-Cole on medical grounds.
These actions are part of a broader administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and institutional performance under the President’s ARREST Agenda. All appointments are subject to Senate confirmation where applicable.
