The University of Liberia has broken new ground in higher education with the approval of its first-ever PhD in Public and International Affairs, alongside a suite of innovative graduate programs at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Graduate School of International Studies.

Alongside the PhD, the longstanding master’s in international studies has been elevated to the Master of Public and International Affairs (MPAIA), aligning with global academic standards and national priorities.

The IBB Graduate School also introduced three new degrees—Development Studies, Leadership and Governance, and International Human Rights Policy—designed to train future leaders, practitioners, and advocates in fields critical to Liberia’s progress.

The rollout of these programs will begin in the coming academic year, according to UL authorities.
