Ibrahim Traoré, Chief Executive Officer of Zoom Network Inc., has called on investors and Liberians in the diaspora to join forces in advancing Liberia’s economic development.
Speaking to reporters in Monrovia, Traoré said his passion for Liberia’s progress drives his mission to seek strategic partnerships that can transform the country’s business environment. He emphasized that Liberia’s untapped potential, if matched with the right investments and connections, could evolve into a thriving economy.
Traoré identified several sectors as critical to national growth:
Agriculture: With fertile land and a favorable climate, Liberia is well-positioned for large-scale production.
Infrastructure: Roads, bridges, and public facilities remain in dire need of repair and expansion.
Energy: Many communities still lack access to reliable and affordable power.
Tourism: Liberia’s cultural heritage and natural beauty make it an attractive destination for global travelers.
“The future of Liberia depends on its citizens returning home to invest. Liberia is for all Liberians,” Traoré said, adding that the current climate offers a safer space for investment and development.
Through Zoom Network Inc., Traoré is already engaged in mining and tourism projects that he says are reducing unemployment and stimulating economic activity. He believes these efforts demonstrate the impact of targeted investments on national growth.
Zoom Network also plans to deploy digital transformation strategies and custom software solutions to support local industries, while introducing innovative farming practices to boost food security and productivity.
Traoré praised his longtime partner, veteran football agent Robert Benga Douma, who is currently in Liberia to collaborate with Zoom Network on new ventures aimed at job creation and economic expansion.
