The President of the Press Union of Liberia Julius Kanubah has challenged the Brewerville-based Family Union Organization to extend its humanitarian efforts beyond Brewerville and make a stronger national impact.
Speaking at the organization’s retreat, Kanubah praised Family Union for its outstanding contributions in health, education, and social welfare.
“There are many good stories being told about the work this organization is doing to help transform the lives of those affected by health, education, and social challenges,” Kanubah said.
“From the elderly to young people and children living in orphanages, we have seen how Family Union continues to touch lives in a positive way.”
He therefore appealed to the leadership and membership of the organization to take these initiatives further by reaching more people in need across the country.
“I am calling on this great group to reach beyond Brewerville and extend its goodwill to other communities,” he urged.
The PUL President also used the occasion to call on Family Union and other well-meaning institutions to intensify efforts to combat drug abuse and other social ills affecting young people.
“I stand here to call on members to help fight drug abuse and guide Liberia’s youth toward a brighter future,” Kanubah noted.
“Our true happiness lies in the safety and security of our communities. We must help our children grow up well and live progressive lives.”
Expressing confidence in the organization, he added, “I have no doubt that Family Union can help lead this process.”
Family Union Chairman, Mr. Tialah Toby, described the retreat as a meaningful platform for reflection, planning, and renewed commitment to progress.
The event, held at the Barnie’s Recreation Center in Brewerville, featured brainstorming sessions, networking, and moments of fun and celebration.
Chairman Toby noted that with unity, vision, and renewed energy, Family Union is stepping boldly into a greater mission of national impact.
