The United States government has named President Donald J. Trump’s Senior Spiritual Advisor, Pastor Paula White-Cain, as its official delegate to Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebrations.
Information Minister confirmed that Pastor White-Cain, a nationally recognized Christian leader, televangelist, and founder of Paula White Ministries, will join President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and distinguished guests at the July 26 festivities. Her presence underscores Washington’s enduring ties with Monrovia, forged through faith, diplomacy, and shared democratic values.
White-Cain, long regarded as one of Trump’s most trusted spiritual counselors, has shaped U.S. faith policy at the highest levels. Her influence spans pulpits, television screens, and international forums, where she champions prayer, leadership, and moral renewal.
The bond between President Boakai and Pastor White-Cain is not new. At the U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit in Washington, D.C., in July 2025, she prayed for Boakai, affirming spiritual solidarity and mutual respect. That moment, officials say, laid the foundation for her symbolic role in Liberia’s national milestone.
As Liberia prepares to mark nearly two centuries of independence, White-Cain’s participation adds a spiritual dimension to the celebrations, blending tradition with transatlantic partnership. Analysts view her presence as both a diplomatic gesture and a testament to the power of faith in shaping global alliances.
For Liberians, the Independence Day stage will shine brighter this year — illuminated not only by history and patriotism, but by the prayers of a trusted voice from America’s highest corridors of power.
