“Imagine I knack in over 50 countries. 5 continents,” Jackson, 73, wrote, listing cities including Tokyo, Beijing, Bali, Johannesburg, Bogotá, Guadalajara, London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles.
Jackson also claimed he had “knacked” in all 15 countries in West Africa.
The post drew a mocking response from one Facebook user, Hiamma Kerkula, who wrote: “Your peers are carrying Nobel Peace Prize award and you’re here carrying Global knacking prize award.”
Jackson’s social-media boast is unrelated to the criminal allegations against him.
The economist is facing manslaughter and negligent homicide charges in connection with the March death of his wife, Ntombikayise Innocentia “Toni” Khumalo Jackson.
Khumalo died after suffering severe head injuries and trauma at the couple’s residence in Monrovia and was subsequently treated at John F. Kennedy Memorial Medical Center, according to reports on the case.
Liberian police initially charged Jackson with manslaughter, negligent homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. A Special Grand Jury of Montserrado County later narrowed the principal charges to manslaughter and negligent homicide.
Jackson was detained at Monrovia Central Prison in April before being released on a $20,000 property bond after Criminal Court “A” cleared his bail.
