Born Darren Jason Watkins Jr, the American streamer was left emotional after the surprised encounter with the two elderly Liberian men.

Speed was in Liberia during the final leg of his African tour, where he drew massive crowds in the capital, Monrovia.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, the men explained that their family has relatives in Ohio, the United States further strengthening their claim.

The emotional revelation visibly moved Speed, who warmly embraced the two men and referred to them as his ancestors.

“I have met my ancestors. He is really my ancestor,” he said, fighting back tears.

As a symbolic gesture, the men presented him with a grey coat and a kanga, sealing the moment with a deeply cultural and emotional exchange.
