President Joseph Boakai departed Liberia Sunday morning for a working visit to Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, where he will hold a series of engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting investment opportunities for Liberia.
During the visit, President Boakai is expected to meet with his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between Liberia and Türkiye.
The bilateral discussions will focus on expanding collaboration in key sectors, including trade and investment, infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, energy, and technical cooperation.
In addition to his official meetings, The Liberian Leader will engage with prominent Turkish business leaders and investors to showcase Liberia’s investment potential and encourage increased private sector participation in the country’s development. These engagements are expected to foster stronger economic partnerships and attract investment in priority sectors of the Liberian economy.
