The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has concluded a three-day Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) result-based Training Workshop for its M&E Department, aimed at bolstering the organization’s commitment to quality work capacity development.
The training, which took place from September 18-20, 2024, was implemented by one of Liberia’s leading non-governmental organizations, Research Management and Consortium Incorporated (RMC).
The workshop was designed to expand the staff’s ideas, knowledge, and skills in the areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, Tracking, and Reporting on the gaming and gambling industry.
Representing the NLA’s Director General, Reginald Kpan Nagbe, the Deputy Director General for Administration, Ennish Lamie Fahnbulleh, praised Nagbe’s leadership and the opportunity to participate in the strategic capacity development workshop.
Fahnbulleh commended the implementing partner, RMC, for the initiative and urged the NLA Monitoring and Evaluation Department to make good use of the practical knowledge acquired, noting that it is for the common good of the NLA and Liberia as a whole.
He also mentioned that this workshop is just one of NLA’s many upcoming robust capacity-building initiatives aimed at making the entity second to none.
In response, the RMC Chief Executive Director, Mr. Josephus K. Zumo, stated that the training had advanced the participants’ ideas and skills in the areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, Tracking, and Reporting.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, NLA’s Deputy Director for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Mr. Armah B. Kamara, lauded both the NLA’s Management and RMC for the great training initiative and promised that the skills acquired will be used to advance improved reporting mechanisms in the gaming and gambling industry in Liberia.
