FC Fassell extends its heartfelt congratulations to Paynesville Football Club (PFC) for successfully qualifying for the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
PFC achieved this milestone with a 1-0 victory over Cameroon’s Fovu Club at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé on August 25, 2024.
This followed their impressive 4-0 win in the first leg held at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex in Paynesville on August 18, 2024.
This accomplishment marks a significant moment for a Liberian club within the CAF club competitions.
“We are currently reviewing the record books to determine the last time a Liberian team secured an away victory in CAF club competitions. “This is no small feat, and FC Fassell takes great pride in your historic achievement.
“On behalf of FC Fassell, I urge all stakeholders to join me in celebrating this remarkable double victory as we look ahead to the next round,” stated President Cassell Anthony Kuoh. PFC is set to face Mali’s Stade Malien in the first leg at the SKD on September 15, 2024.
