Must read

Liberia’s business environment is on the brink of a significant transformation, as Zoom Network Inc., a prominent Liberian-owned enterprise, enters discussions with the Government of Liberia to launch an ambitious trade fair.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at stimulating economic activity and attracting both domestic and international stakeholders.

Zoom Network, known for its diverse portfolio that spans agriculture, tourism, real estate, healthcare, education, road construction, and technology, is committed to driving national development. CEO Mr. Ibrahima Traoré emphasized the company’s intent to bolster the energy sector, which he views as crucial for unlocking comprehensive economic progress.

A key component of this initiative includes a strategic partnership with Mr. Juan Nve Nguema Mbengono, an experienced entrepreneur and CEO of I & S HNOS SL, Inc. from Equatorial Guinea. Mr. Mbengono’s firm specializes in the importation of essential goods such as rice, vegetable oil, and olive wine, which are integral to enhancing food security in Liberia.

In his statements, conveyed through an interpreter, Mr. Mbengono expressed robust confidence in Liberia’s market potential. He underscored the partnership’s goal to bring international best practices and sustainable project management to support the government’s objectives. “We are committed to delivering long-term value and actionable insights that can expedite Liberia’s development goals,” he stated.

With the ability to pre-finance critical projects, Mr. Mbengono’s company is poised to support the government through its collaboration with Zoom Network, facilitating essential advancements in infrastructural and economic sectors.

The upcoming trade fair, pending formalization, is anticipated to serve as a dynamic platform for showcasing local products and attracting foreign investment while fostering partnerships between Liberian businesses and global markets. Stakeholders are eagerly awaiting this “game-changing step” in Liberia’s post-pandemic economic recovery.

This initiative reflects a strong endorsement of the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID). Zoom Network, recognized as the fastest-growing international company in Liberia, is undertaking substantial investments across various key sectors aimed at ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth throughout the nation.
