ECOWAS Deploys Elections’ Observers

ECOWAS Commission President Omar Alieu Touray, has approved the deployment of 15 Long-term Election Observers (LTOs) to monitor key stages in the electoral process leading up to the country’s general elections on 10th October 2023. The deployment is consistent with provisions of Articles 12 to 14 of the 2001 ECOWAS Supplementary Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance on assistance to Member States holding elections, the regional bloc said in a statement Monday.

Liberia 2023: EU Deployed 20 Elections Observers

European Union Elections Observation Mission to Liberian has deployed about 20 long term observers in Liberia’s 15 counties ahead of the October 10 presidential and legislative elections. These elections mark a significant milestone in the consolidation of Liberian democracy as such team will focus on the entire process, Jarek Domanski, the deputy chief observer of the  EU  Election Mission said Saturday in the capital Monrovia.
